DDS would like to thank everyone who participated in the Sunnyside Charity Ride and DDS Stroll. This was the first year that we combined the two events and we are pleased to report that together they raised $6,426. We greatly appreciate our friends at the Sunnyside MC for coordinating a great charity ride to benefit Developmental & Disability Services of Lebanon Valley. In its 7th year, the club raised $2,729. Helping them to achieve this goal were the following businesses and individuals: Pine Grove Ten Pin Club, Carl and Mae Zimmerman of Cornerstone Coating, Rosa and Kid Rubes, Countertop Solutions, Mel's Diner, Ninth Ward Cafe, Weidle Sanitation, Chuck’s Tattoo, Corvette Bar & Grill, Greektown Pizza, Porch Tavern & Restaurant, Vidir Machine, Willow House, Laudermilch Meats and Mel Jacobs; please join us in extending our gratitude to them when you see them and visit their place of business.

To our event sponsor, Lebanon Valley Sertoma Club, thank you for leading the charge to ensure that we have a successful and fun event while raising funds for people with disabilities. Thank you Jonestown Bank and Trust Company for not only sponsoring the t-shirts but for volunteering to help run the event and for participating in the ride. There are many other businesses who stepped up to the challenge and supported the cause: DRT Transportation, Sam & Joyce Groh, Gaylord Poling, DB Fisher, Lazorcik Dog Grooming, Rohland Funeral Home, Stifel Investments, Woodland Contractors, Brushstrokes on Canvas, Grose Funeral Home, Country Cupboard and Sell's Body Shop, thank you! Walkers also received great prizes thanks to the generosity of Brushstrokes on Canvas, Dairy Queen, Freeburn Hamilton, Godshall’s, Hershey Company, Lebanon Valley Mall, Philly Pretzel Factory, Walmart and Wendy's. Walkers loved their registration packs!

In addition, I would like to thank Berks Franks, E&E Discount Beer Warehouse, Giant Food Stores and Weis Markets for their kind donations that enabled us to provide lunch for the bikers and walkers. Special thanks to Robby Marquette of Then & Now for providing live entertainment for the event, along with DJ services by Derek Rentschler and Bob Barry and the many other volunteers who helped run the event. Certainly, this event would not be a hit without the many bikers and walkers who support DDS through this annual event—thank you for making DDS a road stop on your journey.
