Advocacy organizations educate and inform individuals with disabilities, their families and the public on topics relevant to developmental disabilities. Advocates are trained to provide information and referrals on the best services, community resources and support available in Lebanon County and Pennsylvania.
Its mission is to support and promote the independence of individuals with developmental disabilities, by providing advocacy services in their home environment.
An individual of any age who has a developmental disability may request services. The disability has to have manifested before a person is 22 years of age. It may include physical or mental delays and may be a combination of both.
The Elks Home Service Nurse provides a wide range of nursing services and coordinates care for individuals with developmental disabilities living in the community.
